Iran's newly elected President Masoud Pezeshkian told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that his country will not stay quiet over "aggression" from Israel.
"Iran will never remain silent in the face of aggression against its interests and security," Pezeshkian told Macron during a phone call.
At the same time, Iran International reports that Pezeshkian also met with Iran's Supreme Leader and warned against a "direct" retaliatory attack on Israel, saying escalation could "devastate Iran's infrastructure and crippled Iran's economy," bringing about the country's collapse.
